The Polish president Lech Walesa and hise wife were received by queen Beatrix and prince Claus with great ceremonial.

The former electrician and union leader from Gdans is currently staying at the Royal Palance on the Dam Square. In the pouring rain, president Walesa follows his wife as she steps aboard an Amsterdam canal boat of Reederij P. Kooij.
