SAIL 2025 with Rederij Kooij
SAIL is back after 10 years in Amsterdam for the 10th edition
Starting August 20, till August 24, 2025Amsterdam will celebrate that after 10 years SAIL is back in Amsterdam for the 10th edition.
People & ships from all over the world come to Amsterdam to build and experience this great event. More than 800 beautiful, mostly historic & invited ships will float through the waters of Amsterdam to be admired by everyone from all sides. In addition, there are of course many other ships, boats and other sailing objects to be seen. These hundreds of flat-bottomed and many other traditional ships that will sail around the tall ships provide a picture that can actually only be seen in Amsterdam.
A brief selection of what you can expect, the Peruvian debutant B.A.P. Uniòn will participate for the very first time, also the French Belem, the German Alexander von Humboldt II and the Uruguayan Capitán Miranda will be present again. The Kruzensthern, a Russian steel four-masted barque, will also make it's presence, just like all previous editions. The flagship Clipper Stad Amsterdam should certainly not be missed this edition. Grab your chance to admire these eyecatchers up close in the Oranjehaven (IJhaven) sailing with Rederij Kooij.

Departure jetty and time of departure
The SAIL boat tours will take place from Thursday, August 21, 2025, until Sunday morning, August 24, 2025. The boats depart every 20 minutes from our dock at Central Station, located at the Middentoegangsbrug on Stationsplein.

- From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Departure from Rederij Kooij jetty at the Central Station
Due to the expected crowds, we kindly ask you to be present at the start of your reserved time slot. This increases the likelihood of a timely and smooth departure.
