Candlelight Cruise Amsterdam Route*
Our Candlelight Cruise Amsterdam follows our own ‘Rederij Kooij’ route and lasts two hours.
From the Rokin, you will depart across the Grimburgerwal, the Oudezijds voorbugwal to the Oudezijds kolk. You will sail past the Oosterdok, the National Maritime Museum / VOC ship and via the IJ, past the back of Amsterdam Central Station. From the IJ, you will sail via the short Princengracht onto the Prinsengracht up to the Leidsegracht. Via the Leidsegracht you will sail onto the Herengracht, eventually passing underneath the seven bridges of the Reguliersgracht. Via the Prinsengracht you will sail onto the Amstel, where you will pass the illuminated Magere Brug, after which you will be taken back to the Rokin.
* The route may deviate from the description above.
Rederij P. Kooij owns six different types of canal boats. All boats come with a toilet, a sliding roof and a heater. For the Candlelight Cruise Amsterdam we use special Candlelight boats. Specially designed by Rederij Kooij.
