On your table you’ll find a selection of cheese and salty biscuits, red, white and rose wine (a bottle of each on the table). Candlelight Cruise Amsterdam Route*
Our Candlelight Cruise Amsterdam follows our own ‘Rederij Kooij’ route and lasts two hours.
From Rokin, we depart along the River Amstel to Zwanenburgwal, up the Oude Schans and on to the Maritime Museum with its VOC ship. We sail past Waalseiland to Damrak, back past Central Station, then via Droogbak into the IJ. From the IJ to Westerdok, along the Korte Prinsengracht, along Prinsengracht to Leidsegracht. Via Leidsegracht, we sail to Herengracht, then under the seven bridges of Reguliersgracht. Via Prinsengracht, we return to the Amstel, passing, among other things, the illuminated Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge), before ending back at Rokin. *
* The route may deviate from the description above.
Our fleet
Rederij P. Kooij owns six different types of canal boats. All boats come with a toilet, a sliding roof and a heater. For the Candlelight Cruise Amsterdam we use special Candlelight boats. Specially designed by Rederij Kooij.
