Canal tour boats Amsterdam
Rederij Kooij has a unique fleet. Almost all tour boats are historic tour boats. The tour boats can be divided into six different types. Rederij Kooij believes it is important that the ships remain in their original condition and are well maintained.
View our fleet below for more information and an impression of our ships. Our entire fleet is equipped with sliding roofs and sliding windows. Due to the diversity of our fleet, guests can choose a completely open aft deck or, in bad weather, a comfortable (heated) closed boat. All ships are also equipped with a toilet. The first electric tour boat was launched in 2017. Our current fleet is completely electric. From the winter of 2024, all ships will sail electrically.
Our most historic ships
The Albert, Gerarda Johanna and the Prinses Irene are beautiful examples of boats that have been restored to their former glory after a thorough and complete restoration. These ships have beautiful historical details, each with their own character. Click below for more information.
The only ones of its kind in Amsterdam
The President John F. Kennedy is a very special canal tour boat and the only one of its kind in Amsterdam & probably The Netherlands. The John F. Kennedy has an open aft deck. This boat is very suitable for special occasions. In addition, the boat has made many special trips with illustrious guests. Click below for more information.
Candlelight Canal Tour Boats
The candlelight boats are luxury tour boats designed by Ab Kooij himself. These canal tour boats are ideal for special occasions as well as catered tours, such as a served lunch or dinner. On board, a buffet can be created for the catering. There are three ships with a fixed arrangement and two ships with a loose arrangement. Click below for more information.
Classic canal tour boats
The Prins Johan Friso, Prins Constantijn and the Pieter are classic tour boats. These boats have a canal tour boat setup. This means that all benches are faced forward. This type of canal tour boats can accommodate up to 90 people and is ideal for shuttle services and transporting large groups. Click below for more information.
General canal tour boats
This type of tour boat has a fixed bench and table arrangement with 16 tables. These large tour boats can accommodate up to 80 people and are great for shuttle services and transporting large groups. It is possible to create a buffet in these boats. With catering, this type of tour boat can accommodate up to 70 people. Click below for more information.
